2008 Varsity Alumni 'S' Club Annual Golf Outing:

Join us on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at West Forest Akers Golf Course for another exciting day of golf, dinner and fun. Members and Non-Members are welcomed to participate. Reserve your foursome now or come as a single and double and we will pair you up with new friends.

2008 Varsity Alumni 'S' Club Weekend:

It is Olympic Year once again - Beijing will host this years Games with opening day held on 08.08.08. Best of luck to all of our athletes in making their countries 2008 Olympic Team.

MSU Athletics and the Varsity Alumni 'S' Club will honor all of it's Olympic Athletes, Coaches, Athletic Trainers, Doctors and Officials who participated in their nations Olympic Teams - Past and Present. We need your help to identify and notify all of our alumni on past and present Olympic Teams of our special weekend. If you know of participants, please forward their contact information to our office so we may contact them well in advance.

The Varsity Weekend will be held this year in combination with Homecoming Weekend - October 2- 4, 2008. We will post details on our special weekend on the website and in our newsletters. Stay Tuned - This one you don't want to miss!!!

Club Room Renovations:

Come and visit us before, during and after every home football game in our Club Room. Be sure to bring your Varsity Alumni 'S' Club membership card to access the Club Room. You may bring your spouse and four guests into the Club Room.

Our Club Room has be renovated and offers television viewing, concessions, team photos throughout the facility and Spartan friendships. Be sure to view the hallway wall on the second floor outside the Club Room. Thanks to the donation and research from J. Bruce McCristal (author of The Spirit of Michigan State) we now enjoy the collection of MSU Sports History posted throughout the hallway.

You may access the Club room near Section 25. Additional menu items will be offered in the new football season. Look forward to seeing you there.

New Apparel Available:

Do not forget to get your new Varsity Alumni 'S' Club apparel today. Stop by the Club room to purchase your items. If you don't see something that you like, let us know exactly what you want and we will make every effort to locate it for you.

Annual Award Nominations:

Once again it is time to start thinking about the 2008 Award Nominees for the Jack Breslin, Nell C. Jackson and Henry C. Bulldog Awards. Application forms are located on our website. Complete and submit today. Deadline for submission is Friday, February, 8, 2008.

2008 Sparty Ball in the Windy City:

You are cordially invited to join the Michigan State Alumni Club of Metro Chicago at the annual SpartyBall.This event will be held on March 1, 2008 downtown at the Chicago Cultural Center on Michigan Ave. Special Guest will be Athletic Director, Mark Hollis. Varsity Weekend Memories:

The Annual Varsity Alumni Club Weekend was established in 1996 by Henry C. Bullough to welcome back to campus all varsity letter winners, their families, and friends each year. The weekend offers opportunities to participate in a variety of activities designed to renew old friendships and create new memories. During this weekend the Varsity Alumni 'S' Club honors distinguished letter winners through the Jack Breslin, Nell C. Jackson and Henry C. Bullough Awards. Also honored are coaches who have dedicated outstanding service and support to the athletic department and community with our Lifetime Coaches Award. We also conduct our formal induction of honorary members in the Varsity Alumni 'S' Club and honor our 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 year anniversary letter winners.

Many teams take the opportunity to use this weekend to come home and celebrate team reunions. We hope you and your teammates will do the same in the future. Contact the Varsity Alumni 'S' Club for more information. In 2008, we will celebrate during Homecoming Weekend and honor our past Olympians (Athletes, Coaches, Officials, and Trainers).
